How can a vanishing point be at the same time void and a point of reference? This particular series questions that notion, exploring how perspective can frame a space. To Rubén photography, space and architecture are intrinsically related. He uses photography to further his architectural designs.
About Rubén Segovia
Rubén Segovia, is an architect, designer, and photographer. Originally from Mexico, he has collaborated with several design firms, including Renzo Piano Building Workshop and Landa Arquitectos. In 2010, Ruben founded Estudio Mantra, a workshop that solves societal problems using architectural design tools. Currently, he studies architecture at the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
Rubén has always been curious about how the body works. He first studied medicine, and learned about the different systems and their interconnections. His medical background helped him understand architecture, and has even translated into his photography work.
